SAN DIEGO — September 7, 2023 — Biosero, Inc., developer of laboratory automation solutions to orchestrate scientific discoveries, today announced the promotion of Ryan Bernhardt to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Bernhardt previously served as the company’s Chief Commercial Officer. Tom Gilman, Biosero’s founding CEO and president, will work closely with Mr. Bernhardt through September 30, 2023 to transition responsibilities.

In his new capacity, Mr. Bernhardt will continue to lead Biosero’s commercial strategy in addition to furthering the connections between Biosero and the BICO Group.
Mr. Bernhardt joined Biosero in 2021 with more than 15 years of experience in the laboratory automation field. As Chief Commercial Officer, he led Biosero’s sales, marketing, customer success, applications, and business development teams. He was integral in creating new opportunities through strategic partnerships, collaborations, and commercial agreements. He also oversaw the product roadmap for Biosero’s industry-leading Green Button Go automation scheduling software suite.
Before coming to Biosero, Mr. Bernhardt spent more than six years at Eli Lilly and Company as the Global Discovery Automation Research and Technologies Group Leader, where he led a team of automation engineers and scientists in the design, implementation, and operation of a variety of innovative automation initiatives. Prior to that he served as leader of the emerging automation markets global business unit at Hamilton Robotics.
