Biosero Advances Laboratory Automation with the Introduction of Assistive AI Solution
SAN DIEGO — February 5, 2026 — Biosero, part of the BICO group, announces the early-access release of new assistive AI capabilities integrated into Green Button Go®, an innovation that allows users to create, review, and troubleshoot automation workflows using plain English instead of code. The system supports natural-language interaction while ensuring that human control, validation, and execution remain fully in place.
For more than a decade, Biosero has focused on being a trusted automation software partner for life sciences organizations, helping teams build reliable, compliant, and scalable automation. With the introduction of these AI capabilities, that same philosophy is extended to AI: applying it where it adds real value, and only where it can be done responsibly.
“By embedding assistive AI directly into the automation development experience, we continue our commitment to delivering technology that laboratories can rely on today, while thoughtfully preparing for what comes next.”
— Fraser McLeod, Managing Director, Biosero
These new assistive AI capabilities support natural-language–assisted workflow development by learning from existing Green Button Go automation workflows. They allow users to express intent clearly, helping them generate new procedures, understand existing logic, and identify and resolve errors more efficiently. This is achieved by building on proven automation patterns rather than introducing autonomous behavior.
The system is strictly assistive: it does not execute workflows, make autonomous decisions, or bypass established safety, validation, or compliance processes. All scientific, operational, and quality decisions remain firmly in human hands. The introduction of AI-powered features is part of Biosero’s broader initiative to create a unified intelligence layer across automation development and support. This initiative focuses on applying AI where it delivers the most value, workflow creation, debugging, explanation, and knowledge reuse, while ensuring that scientific, operational, and quality decisions remain in human hands.
The early-access release of these AI capabilities is available to a limited group of customers through a controlled access program. This approach allows Biosero to learn alongside users and evolve the capabilities based on real-world needs.
